Evolved Cat

My cat Walter is very evolved. He has the charming habit of catching rodents and then releasing them live into our house. I guess I should be proud that he isn't into the senseless killing of small creatures.
The first time this happened, we caught the mouse in a Have-a-Heart live animal trap. The problem was, it was Christmas Eve and 10 degrees outside. Sooooo, being the sucker animal lovers we are, we bought a cage (with rodent wheel), bedding, and some food and decided to keep Crumpet for the winter. He was actually an entertaining little thing. We loved to watch him run like mad in his wheel and then stop and flip around and around with the wheel. I think his highest number of consecutive flips was 12! When spring came we bid Crumpet adieu and released him into the wild.
Last Thanksgiving Walter brought us Giblet. He too took to his mouse wheel almost instantly. Thanks to a late week of Indian summer, Giblet only lived with us for a week.
Last week was Walter's finest catch yet; Chiplet the Chipmunk. Only, we can't seem to trap him. I even plunked down $30 for a bigger Have-a-Hart trap because he was setting off the small trap but not getting caught! Now we are getting desperate. Who knew a chipmunk could produce such copious amounts of noxious urine? Our basement is foul. Soon we will need gas masks.

When not out hunting for presents, it looks like the kitty uses a Mac!

I did mention he was evolved didn't I?
I am kidding of course. In fact, I am eager to be more computer literate on both PCs and Macs by the end of this course!
